Rosacea
Rosacea is a chronic reactive vascular inflammatory condition affecting lighter skin types with greater frequency that darker types. It is characterized by redness, telangiectasias (small visible vessels), and bumps called papules and pustules. These can coalesce into much larger areas than the individual bumps.

Known triggers to avoid include UV light, heat, alcohol, hot beverages and spicy food. These cause inflammatory changes in the vessels of the face resulting in redness. Certain bacteria also play a role.

Healthy diet, sun and trigger avoidance, hydration and a good skin care regimen using a gentle cleanser are all things you can do to reduce the severity of this condition. There are many prescription medical options available as well as light and energy based treatments available. Please see the Alma Harmony, LightStim, Pixel CO2 laser or Morpheus8 here.
