PRP is platelet-rich plasma, which comes from your blood. It is a nutrient-dense fluid that stimulates cellular regeneration in areas like hair follicles, joints, and also the skin. Platelets contain numerous growth factors, each of which is involved in certain cellular processes.  Platelet-rich plasma has a long history of medicinal use related to tissue healing and regeneration. Stem cells actually change into cells associated with the body system they are placed in.  Thus, new hair follicles can be produced and grow new hair.  Exosomes are the cellular signal chemicals that trigger regenerative activity in tissue with the cell components of stem cells.   Both can be administered in the same ways as PRP.

HAIR RESTORATION TREATMENTS

There are several ways to deliver PRP, Stem Cells or Exosomes to the scalp. One technique is to perform microneedling, which creates micro wounds to superficial tissue, then apply the chosen treatment. Another technique is to inject platelet-rich plasma into the scalp or thru PRO thread needles. The PDO thread also helps stimulate the follicles. Treatment is conducted with a topical anesthetic which numbs the superficial tissue on the head. We can also us the Cryosure CO2 applicator to painlessly administer the chosen treatment. Most patients need a series of treatments to achieve optimal results.  With the Cryosure, we can apply either Trichocyte or De|Rive hair restoration serums.
